You trade a coin from the panel on its page. You always pay and receive SOL, even when the coin trades against another token. Trades are built by the site, signed by your wallet and sent to Solana; the site never holds your funds.
Where a trade goes#
| Coin | Before graduation | After graduation |
|---|---|---|
| SOL coin (Pump.fun) | Pump.fun bonding curve | The coin’s PumpSwap pool |
| Token pair on Pump.fun | SOL → pair token (Jupiter) → curve | Jupiter, SOL ↔ coin |
| Token pair on Meteora | SOL → pair token (Jupiter) → Meteora curve | Jupiter, SOL ↔ coin |
For token pairs, both legs go in one transaction when they fit, so either both happen or neither does. If they do not fit, you approve two transactions at once and they are sent in order. If the second one fails, the pair token bought by the first one stays in your wallet.
Buying and selling#
- Buy: enter an amount of SOL (or tap 0.1, 0.5, 1 or 5 SOL). You spend exactly that amount and receive at least the minimum shown.
- Sell: enter an amount of tokens (or tap 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%). You receive at least the minimum SOL shown.
- The quote shows what you receive, the minimum after slippage, the price impact (red above 5%), any site fee and the route.
- The panel keeps 0.01 SOL of your balance aside for network fees and temporary account rent, and tells you if you do not have enough.
Slippage#
Slippage is how far the price may move against you between the quote and the moment your trade lands. If it would move further, the trade fails instead of filling at a worse price. You can choose 0.5%, 1%, 3% or 10%; the default is 1%. The API accepts 0.1% to 50%.
Fees on a trade#
Venue fees
Pump.fun charges its own trading fees on the curve and in PumpSwap, including the creator fee that the coin’s fee split divides. These rates are set by Pump.fun, not by Pairity, and the creator fee can vary with the coin’s market cap. Meteora coins pay a 1% trading fee by default; Meteora keeps 20% of it and the rest is the coin’s creator fee.
Site trade fee
The platform can add a fee on trades made through this website. It is 0% by default and can be at most 5%. When it is on:
- on a buy it is added on top of what you pay; on a sell it comes out of the proceeds after the swap;
- it goes to the platform treasury, and 20% of it goes to your referrer if you arrived through a referral link;
- holders of the platform token get 25%, 50% or 100% off it by default (bronze, silver, gold);
- trades made on other websites or apps do not pay it.
Network and priority fees
Every trade pays the normal Solana network fee plus a priority fee that helps it land quickly. The priority fee is set automatically from recent fees on the accounts your trade uses. With the default settings it is capped at about 0.0003 SOL per trade.
Confirmations#
After you approve, the site relays your transaction and checks its status every 1.5 seconds for up to 2 minutes. It only relays transactions that trade on this launchpad’s venues.
| Result | What it means |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | The trade went through. Your balances refresh. |
| Failed on-chain | The trade did not happen (for example, the price moved past your slippage). Only the network fee was charged. |
| Expired | The transaction never landed. Nothing happened, and you can try again. |
| Not confirmed yet | It was sent but not confirmed within 2 minutes. It may still go through. |
