Every trade of a coin pays a creator fee. The fee split decides who gets that fee and in what proportion. You set it once, on the Launch page, and it is written on-chain when the coin is created. After that it can never change.
The recipients#
| Recipient | Who sets it | Where the money goes |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | Fixed | One platform wallet. Half buys back and burns the platform token, half goes to the treasury. |
| Paired account | You | The paired wallet, escrow or GitHub fee account. |
| Holders | You (optional) | The coin’s holder vault, paid out to holders about every 6 hours. |
| Buyback & burn | You (optional) | The coin’s burn vault, used to buy back and burn the coin about every hour. |
| Creator (you) | The rest | Your wallet. |
The platform share is 20% by default, which is also its minimum. The platform can set a higher share for new coins (up to 50%), and the Launch page always shows the real number. You divide the other 80%.
Presets#
Presets are written as shares of your 80%, then scaled. With the default 20% platform share they give these splits (shares of the whole fee):
| Preset | Creator | Paired | Holders | Buyback & burn | Platform |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic 70:30 (default) | 56% | 24% | 0% | 0% | 20% |
| Community | 32% | 24% | 24% | 0% | 20% |
| Deflationary | 40% | 16% | 0% | 24% | 20% |
| All to the people | 8% | 24% | 24% | 24% | 20% |
Token and stock pairs
These coins have no paired account, so they use their own presets:
| Preset | Creator | Holders | Buyback & burn | Platform |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| All to me (default) | 80% | 0% | 0% | 20% |
| Community | 40% | 40% | 0% | 20% |
| Deflationary | 48% | 0% | 32% | 20% |
| All to the people | 16% | 32% | 32% | 20% |
Limits#
- You set the paired, holders and buyback & burn shares. You get whatever is left, so the total is always exactly 100%.
- Shares are whole percents on the Launch page.
- Every share is either 0% or at least 1%.
- When you pair with an account, wallet or company, the paired share must be at least 1% (the default minimum; the platform can change it).
- Token and stock pairs have no paired account, so their paired share is always 0%.
- A split can have at most 10 recipients on-chain, and no two recipients can be the same wallet. For example, the paired wallet cannot be your own wallet.
- Holder rewards and buyback & burn are available only when the platform has its vaults set up. If not, the Launch page tells you.
AI coins#
Coins paired with an AI model have a fixed split that you cannot edit: 50% creator, 30% for the coin’s AI and 20% platform. By default the whole 30% goes to the coin’s own AI vault, which pays only for its AI (no buybacks, burns or liquidity). See AI vault & billing.
Referrals#
If you arrived through someone’s referral link, the referrer gets 4% of the fees as an extra on-chain recipient. This comes out of the platform share (the platform keeps 16%), never out of your share or anyone else’s. Referrals apply to Pump.fun coins only. See Referrals.
Why the split can never change#
Pump.fun coins
By default, a one-time key is made just for your launch. It becomes the admin of the coin’s fee-sharing config, writes your split, and is then erased by the server once the split is confirmed. Its leftover SOL is refunded to you first. With the key gone, nobody can change the split: not you, not the platform.
The platform can switch to a fallback mode where your wallet stays the config admin. In that mode the worker compares every coin’s on-chain split with the launch split every minute. A coin whose split was changed is flagged, delisted with a public warning, and no longer paid out with platform funds. The Launch page tells you which mode is active.
Meteora coins
The split is part of the coin’s own Meteora config, which can never be changed. Your share is set in that config and only you can claim it. The rest goes to the coin’s fee wallet, and the platform pays it out to the holder vault, burn vault and platform share in their proportions.
