Risks & disclaimers

Read this before you trade or launch.

This page lists the real risks as plainly as we can. It does not replace the Terms of Service, which you accept before using the site.

Trading and launching coins carries extreme risk. You can lose everything you put in. Coins launched on Pairity are experimental digital assets with no intrinsic value and no promise of any return. Nothing in these docs or on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.

Market risks#

  • Prices can go to zero. Most coins on any launchpad lose most or all of their value. Early buyers can sell at any time, including right after you buy.
  • Low liquidity. On a small bonding curve, large trades move the price a lot. You may not be able to sell at the price you see.
  • Slippage and front-running. The price can move between your quote and your trade. Bots may trade around you.
  • Graduation is not a promise. A coin may never fill its curve. After graduation it trades on an open DEX pool where anything can happen.
  • Fees and rewards depend on volume. Creator fees, paired-account fees, holder rewards and buybacks exist only while people trade. No trading, no fees.

Coin and people risks#

  • Pairing is not endorsement. Anyone can pair a coin with an X account, a channel, a company or an AI model. It does not mean that person or company created, supports or even knows about the coin.
  • Creators can sell. A creator may buy at launch and sell later. A locked fee split does not lock anyone's coins.
  • Descriptions are not checked. Names, images, descriptions and links come from the creator. They can be misleading.
  • Copy-trading is risky. A wallet you follow can be wrong, can trade to bait copiers, and alerts arrive after the trade.
  • Scams imitate real sites. Fake links, fake support accounts and fake Blinks exist. Nobody legitimate will ask for your seed phrase.

Platform and custody risks#

  • Some funds are held by the platform. Paired-account escrow, holder-reward and buyback vaults and AI vaults are controlled by the platform's keys. You rely on the platform to keep those keys safe and to run payouts. See Security.
  • Unclaimed escrow expires. Fees for a paired account that never claims go to the platform treasury 30 days after the first fee arrives.
  • Background jobs can be delayed. Fee distribution, holder payouts, buybacks, AI vault USDC refills and AI receipt memos run on schedules and depend on the network, RPC providers and price feeds. Payments can be late.
  • Estimates are estimates. “Fees earned” on the dashboard and quotes before you sign are calculations, not guarantees.
  • Settings can change. The platform can change fees, limits and feature switches for new coins and for site features. A coin's locked split does not change, but things like the site trade fee, x402 prices or alert thresholds can.
  • Software has bugs. The site, the smart contracts it uses (pump.fun, DEX pools, Jupiter) and Solana itself can fail or be exploited.

AI risks#

  • AI text is not advice. An AI coin's posts, answers and reports can be wrong, even when they quote numbers. They are entertainment and content, not facts or recommendations.
  • The AI vault can run dry. An AI whose vault has no USDC goes quiet until trading fees refill it, and a coin that used its daily budget stops until 00:00 UTC. If the AI provider drops a coin's model, that AI pauses; the paired model is never swapped.
  • The AI depends on the platform and a provider. The AI vault is a platform-held wallet, not a smart contract, and it pays an outside AI provider in advance for each request. If the provider fails after being paid, that payment is not refunded automatically. The vault's money cannot be withdrawn and is not used for anything but the AI.
  • Swapping to USDC has a cost. The vault swaps SOL to USDC through Jupiter with up to 1% slippage, plus network fees, so a little value is lost on each refill.
  • Role tools can be wrong. A trade the trading copilot prepares is built from a quote that can move. Always read your wallet's preview before you sign. AI-built sites and X posts are AI text, not endorsements.
  • Agent wallets are controlled by the creator. If an AI coin has an agent wallet, its creator can export the key and use those funds as they like.
  • x402 has no automatic refunds. If a paid service fails after your payment confirms, the payment stays in the coin's AI vault.
  • Restricted jurisdictions. Using the platform is not allowed from the United States and from sanctioned countries and regions, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus and Myanmar. Trading and launching are blocked there.
  • Rules differ by country and can change. Tokens may be treated as securities or regulated products where you live. You are responsible for following your local laws.
  • Taxes. Trades, fees and rewards may be taxable. Keep records.
  • Creators carry responsibility. A creator must not launch a coin that infringes someone's rights, misleads buyers, or is used for fraud, manipulation or money laundering.

Before you act#

  • Only use money you can afford to lose completely.
  • Research the coin and its creator yourself.
  • Check every transaction in your wallet before you sign it.
